Senator William H. King's visit to the USSR, 1923.

Notes of Utah Senator William H. King from August 2, 1923 to August 18, 1923, documenting his visit to the Soviet Union. He describes the Soviet Union's hospitals, poverty, propaganda, religious beliefs, and treatment of the military. He visits the house where the Romanovs were executed. He visits some orphans who are recovering from starvation and disease with the help of the Near East Relief organization. The papers contain notes from interviews in addition to these eyewitness narratives.
